The JER Editorial Team Welcomes Elena Telles Ryan as Senior Editorial Assistant
The JER is thrilled to share that Elena Telles Ryan is joining our team as a senior editorial assistant. Elena is a doctoral candidate in the department of history at Princeton University. Her research interests lie at the nexus of Native American history, legal history, and the history of gender and sexuality. She is currently working on a dissertation investigating the legal culture of the Great Lakes region during the eighteenth-century. At Princeton, Elena has worked with the Center for Digital Humanities, aided by her background in computer science and currently helps to coordinate the Princeton Colonial and Revolutionary Americas Workshop.
In her new position at the JER, Elena brings her knowledge of the early republic and extensive experience with digital tools and methods to support a wide range of initiatives underway at both the journal and The Panorama. “I’m so delighted to be joining the JER,” Elena says the new role. “The journal has long been an essential resource for my work which makes me all the more enthusiastic about contributing to its intellectual community as the senior editorial assistant.” Follow her on twitter @ElenaTRyan and check back for more news about new work underway!
