Open to anybody who has presented a conference paper on the era of the early republic in 2021, 2022, 2023, or 2024 (including SHEAR’s 2024 conference).

Would you like encouraging feedback from the JER’s editors and your SHEAR colleagues?

Join the JER’s editors Ronald Angelo Johnson & Johann Neem and your peers for this workshop to share your paper and to support your colleagues. Please submit the title of your conference paper and a short c.v. to journaloftheearlyrepublic@wwu.edu by June 30, 2024, for consideration.

Workshops will be scheduled following SHEAR’s July 2024 conference and will meet online. Participants will be asked to share a copy of their conference paper and a short cover letter detailing ideas/plans for revisions. They will also be asked to provide feedback on their colleagues’ papers and abide by SHEAR’s Statement of Values. Conference papers and cover letters will be due by July 24,2024.

Workshops will take place Aug. 8 from 9am-2pm EDT.

The fine print:

• If space is limited, priority will be given to junior, untenured, and/or non-university scholars.
• If demand is high, additional workshops may be facilitated by JER Editorial Board members.
