SHEAR is delighted to welcome its new president, Amy S. Greenberg, George Winfree Professor of American History and Women’s Studies, Penn State University.

Had the 2020 SHEAR conference, scheduled for July 16-19 in Philadelphia, not been canceled due to the pandemic, President Doug Egerton would have stepped down on Saturday evening and President Greenberg would have assumed office. Unfortunately, we were unable to celebrate that moment of transition in our typical SHEAR fashion. So, congratulations President Greenberg!
