Respond to SHEAR Survey about Mentorship Program

SHEAR logo, which is an engraving of an eagle holding a banner that says SHEAR is interested in facilitating an informal mentorship program between graduate students and junior to mid-level scholars of early American history. Ideally, this would be an ongoing relationship to help demystify a lot of the opacity of the historical profession as graduate students work their way through early career milestones. We would like the program to be open to scholars with different interests, backgrounds, and career trajectories. We are in the early stages of organization, and would like to solicit feedback from those interested in acting as mentors and mentees.

If you are interested, please take a few minutes to answer questions on a Google Form, provided here: https://forms.gle/SdJzwjkb34fGABew9

This survey is meant to be a starting point as we develop the program and does not require a commitment at this time. Any feedback you are willing to provide will be helpful. Please respond by Friday, September 16. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jacqueline Beatty (jbeatty@ycp.edu) or Emily Arendt (emily.arendt@msubillings.edu).
